  • The fifth annual spring conference was held at The College of New Jersey on May 20, 2011, starting at 8:30 am.  The theme was "The Impact of the Common Core Standards."

What is the New Jersey Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators and who are its members?
  • NJAMTE and its members work together to promote and improve the education of preservice and inservice teachers of mathematics across the state of NJ.
  • NJAMTE members include teacher educators in Schools and Colleges of Education and Departments of Mathematics as well as others interested in mathematics teacher education.
What are the NJAMTE goals?

The goal of NJAMTE is to promote quality mathematics teacher education in New Jersey.  Specifically, the purposes are to:
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among mathematics teacher educators and consultants at the elementary, secondary, community college, college, and university levels.
  • Promote quality undergraduate and graduate programs in mathematics education for prospective teachers in the state of New Jersey.
  • Promote quality programs for the professional development of teachers of mathematics at all levels.
