Did you know that every nine minutes someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease? To help make a difference, Teddy and I are raising money for the Parkinson's Unity Walk, a national grassroots organization that aims to raise awareness and funds for research with the hopes of one day finding a cure for Parkinson's disease.
The walk will be held in New York's Central Park on April 24, 2010. In 2009, over 10,000 people participated in Parkinson's Unity Walk and over $1,500,000 was raised. Our team, Papa's Rockin' NJ Walkers, raised over $28,000 and Teddy and raised over $1000. We are hoping to we can do it again. These are challenging times and giving is harder than before, but every dollar helps so please do what you can. Every contribution, no matter how large or small, makes a difference and brings us one step closer to the hope of finding a cure. 100% of the money raised benefits seven major U. S. Parkinson's foundations including:
