Professor Daly joined Felician College in January 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY, a Master’s in Nursing from New York University and a Post Masters Certificate in Nursing Education from Rutgers University. Professor Daly is certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She participated in the Geriatric Nursing Education Consortium (GNEC) Training Institute in Atlanta Georgia in October 2007. GNEC is a national initiative to enhance geriatric content in senior-level baccalaureate courses. During the past eight years at Felician College, Professor Daly has taught various nursing courses in both the Associate Degree and Baccalaureate Degree Programs. In the Associate Degree Program she taught: Medical-Surgical Nursing and the Professional Roles Seminar. In the Baccalaureate Degree Program, she taught Fundamentals of Nursing, Pharmacology, Health Assessment and Nursing Care of the Adult I. Professor Daly has been active within the college community by serving on faculty Committees. She has served on the Academic Standings Committee, the Faculty Council, the Library Committee and the Student Affairs Committee. She served as chairperson of the Students Affairs Committee for two years. She has also served on the Felician College Health Fair Committee and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Accreditation Committee. As the Faculty representative for the Student Nurse Association (SNA), Professor Daly meets with the student officers and members. She guides the students to elect officers and to develop Bylaws for the Felician College Chapter of the NSNA. She accompanies the students to the New Jersey Nursing Student’s (NJNS) convention in Atlantic City every February. In February 2007, Professor Daly was a speaker at the convention. She serves as academic advisor to several students. Professor Daly has represented the Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Program at the Felician College Open Houses and at the Alumni Dinner. Professor Daly is a member of the American Nurses Association. |
