Data
Summaries
Data regarding the number of children and
youth with disabilities receiving special education programs and services in New
York State is available beginning with the December 1, 1996 year. Student count
data reflect special education placements on December 1 of each school
year.
The data is organized by age group within
the categories of preschool and school-age students and by federal disability
category for school-age students. In addition, data collected and reported by
the New York States Department of Health Early Intervention Program is
represented in the "Ages <1-2" column.
