Biography

My Name is Barry Goldberg  currently I am a Assistant Professor of Natural Sciences at Felician College. I did my undergraduate work at the Univerisity of Miami and Boston Univeristy. And then went on to Medical School in Mexico, I graduated from Univerisdad Del Noreste in Tampico, Mexico in 1980. During my last 2 years of medical school, I was fortunate to complete my clinical years in US hospitals.  I externed at many elite hospitals such as Massachusetts General hospital, New York Hospital, Brooklyn Hospital, and Nassau County Medical Center. After graduating medical school, I did my internship at Long Island College Hospital through Downstate Medical School. In 1983, I entered my residency in Internal Medicine at Mckeesport hospital an affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh. In 1985, I left my training to enter into private practice. Besides opening a practice, I work at many hospitals in their emergency rooms,as a hospitalist, and assistant surgeon. Some these hospitals were Williamsport Medical Center, St Francis hospital of New Castle, PA, Sullivan County Hospital, Butterfield hospital, Good Samartian Hospital and Kingshighway hospital. Upon practicing for a couple of years, I started practicing Family Practice as a specialty. I was seeing patients from neonates to the elderly. I had offices in Brooklyn, NY, Roslyn, NY, and Dix Hills, NY. I had practice for 20 years and retired from practice in 2002. I had licenses to practice medicine in the states of New York and Pennsylvania.

  Currently, I am teaching fulltime and love it. I teach Anatomy &Physiology, Microbiology, Histology, and Pathophysiology. Besides teaching at Felician, I have taught at many other colleges and universities. Such as New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, St Peters College, Passaic Communtiy College, Rockland Community College, Nassau Community College, and William Paterson University.
